What iPad models does BloqLoft support?
BloqLoft requires an iPad running iPadOS 18 or later. This includes iPad Air (3rd generation and newer), iPad Pro (all models), iPad mini (5th generation and newer), and iPad (8th generation and newer). For the best experience with large quilts and complex patterns, we recommend an iPad with an M-series chip.
Do I need an internet connection to use BloqLoft?
No. BloqLoft works entirely offline. Your designs, fabrics, and palettes are all stored on your device. An internet connection is only needed to download the app, install updates, or import fabrics from online sources.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase, then open the App Store and go to your account. Your purchase will be available to download again at no charge. All App Store purchases are tied to your Apple ID, not your device.
Can I transfer designs between devices?
Yes. You can export your projects as BloqLoft files and share them via AirDrop, Files, email, or any file-sharing method. Open the file on your other device and BloqLoft will import it with all fabrics and settings intact.
What file formats can I export?
BloqLoft can export your work as high-resolution images (PNG), printable piecing templates (PDF), and native BloqLoft project files for sharing or backup. Export options are available from the share menu in both the Block Editor and Quilt Editor.
Is my data backed up?
Your designs are stored locally on your iPad. If you have iCloud Backup enabled in your device settings, your BloqLoft data is included in your regular iPad backups. We also recommend periodically exporting important projects as BloqLoft files for safekeeping.
How do I report a bug?
Use the contact form below. Choose "Bug Report" as the topic and include as much detail as you can: what you were doing, what happened, and what you expected. A screenshot helps tremendously. We read every message and will follow up if we need more information.
